We choreograph to the song you have already chosen — not a generic routine. The first dance should feel like yours.

Most wedding couples have never danced before. We start where you are and build something graceful from there.

A rehearsal in your shoes.

Bring the wedding shoes, the dress (or a stand-in), and we will run the dance in the actual conditions before the day.

Calm on the day.

Four to eight lessons is the usual package. By the rehearsal, you both feel ready — not rehearsed-to-death, just ready.

What people ask us
before they come in.

How far ahead of the wedding should we start?

Six to twelve weeks of weekly lessons is the standard. That gives you time to learn a routine, polish it, and practice it enough to feel comfortable on the day. Three weeks is possible but tight. Less than that, we'll focus on a simpler approach you can actually pull off.

Do you choreograph to our specific song?

Yes. We learn the song, plan moves around its phrasing, and build a routine that fits the length you want to dance. Some couples want a 90-second polished routine. Some want a 3-minute full song. Either works.

Neither of us has ever danced. Can we still pull this off?

Almost always yes. Wedding routines are designed around your level, not against it. We build moves you can actually do, that look good, and that you'll remember on the day. We've done this for couples who weren't sure they could find the beat.

What style of dance for a wedding first dance?

Depends on your song. Slow romantic ballads usually fit Waltz or Rumba. Jazz and swing songs fit Foxtrot or Swing. Latin songs work with Bachata, Salsa, or Cha Cha. We figure out the right style in the first lesson once we hear the song.

Can the bridal party also take lessons?

Yes. We work with parents who want to dance their special dances, bridesmaids and groomsmen learning a group entrance, and the whole wedding party preparing for the reception. Most of this work happens in dedicated sessions, separate from the bride and groom's lessons.
